If you want your business event to be packed, hire Savannah to host it – she brings the People to the People’s Station! Around the Lowcountry, she’s called “Auntie.” “Sassy,” “straightforward,” and “everyone’s mom for advice” throughout the community, is how we describe Star 99.7’s Assistant Program Director, Sheila Savannah Johnson. Savannah can be heard every weekday as the star of the local morning show Savannah & Friends, airing between The Steve Harvey Morning Show. She also brings the local news, information and her opinions to her top-rated show, The House of Blues on Sunday nights. Savannah’s career has seen many heights: appearances in a variety of commercial ads and major motion pictures. DJ D-Nyce, 3-7 PM weekdays on Star 99.7, is the way the Lowcountry rides home. After starting out working local dances and proms, his career made a leap to BET’s Rap City, working with Legends like Donnie Simpson of Video Soul. From there, it soared higher as the DJ for the DMX tour, Foxy Brown and Method Man. His big break happened when he was asked to join the New Edition Tour and, later, BBD. Playing with the Bruno Mars tour was another major honor. His legendary name has finally brought him to the airwaves of Star 99.7, where you have his talent available to reach your audience on the #1 Urban Adult station in the Lowcountry, Star 99.7. No Lowcountry radio personality is more involved in the community than “The Chef” (aka: Edwin Wright). Chef’s radio career has spanned 4 decades since his start at WMCJ in Moncks Corner on “Sports Beat,” the award-winning show he cohosted with NFL running back Rolland Harper. Soon after, the legendary Clyde Jones and the late Jessie Williams brought Chef to Charleston where, today, he provides inspiration and praise, and leads “The Heaven Squad” weekday mornings. Along with his many broadcast awards, Chef has been honored with the keys to both the City of Charleston and the City of North Charleston. As much as anyone on your radio, Chef serves God, his family and our Lowcountry community.
